The fourth project meeting was organized as a workshop held on September 4, 2024 at the University of Zagreb, Croatia. The host of the workshop was Professor Zoran Mandić.
The meeting was attended by many participants from Croatia, Serbia, Sweden, Slovenia, and France.
During the meeting, representatives of the partners presented a progress report on the activities performed in Gothenburg, Belgrade, and Zagreb. The presentations were held by Grgur Mihalinec, Zaher Slim, Gavrilo Šekularac, Klemen Pirnat, Clement Pechberty, Marijana Kraljić Roković, Nikola Zdolšek and others. The presentations gave an overview of the recent achievements in developing of the reversible Calcium/oxygen batteries.
The program agenda:
- Grgur Mihalinec; University of Zagreb, Croatia: Favourable interaction of BF4- and acetonitrile for the realization of the reversible Ca electrode
- Zaher Slim, Chalmers, Gothenburg, Sweden: Tailoring electrolytes for calcium metal batteries from commercially available calcium salts.
- Gavrilo Sekularac, IHTM, Belgrade, Serbia: IrO2 supported on MnO2 as a bifunctional catalyst for oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions.
- Klemen Pirnat, National Institute of Chemistry, Slovenia: Organic materials in multivalent batteries
- Clement Pechberty, Chalmers, Gothenburg, Sweden: Alloys for Magnesium Batteries: from Bulk Electrode to Surface Protection
- Marijana Kraljic Rokovic, University of Zagreb, Croatia: MXene-based materials for high-performance metal-ion batteries
- Nikola Zdolsek, Vinca institute, Belgrade, Serbia: Ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents in the synthesis of electrocatalysts. The stability of ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents in Ca-O2 batteries.
